Heidi (2005) is a great movie to watch during holiday season. It is directed by Paul Marcus and starred by Emma Bolger as Heidi. Although, at a young age, Emma's acting was fantastic. Her natural simplicity portrayal of Heidi's character impresses me. I also love the way Paul Marcus portrayed the characters in the movie - the opportunist and greedy Aunt Detie, the emotionally hurt grandpa Alp, the selfish and ignorant Peter, the perfectionist and timid Sebastian, the indifferent Tinette, the self-centered Rottenmeier, the understanding and wise Mr. Sessessmann, the kind and loving grandmamma, the quiet and calm Clara and the simple and kindhearted Heidi. It is a good movie to reflect on selfishness, anger, hatred, love, simplicity and humility.
